About the Role: The Company is seeking a VP, Real Estate Development to join their team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in expanding the business within the dynamic multifamily markets of Texas. This role is pivotal in building a local platform, supported by the resources of a global real estate leader. The VP will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and leading the execution of new development and acquisition opportunities. This includes building and managing a robust pipeline, leading due diligence, and cultivating relationships with various stakeholders. The role also involves engaging with the investment analysis team, representing the company at industry events, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to advance opportunities. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a graduate degree being a plus, and at least 10 years of experience in commercial real estate development, acquisitions, or business development, particularly within Texas markets. An established network of relationships and a proven track record of deal sourcing and closing are essential. The role requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
