Neuro ICU Registered Nurse

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Neuro ICU in Nashville, TN. In this role, you will provide high-acuity neuro critical care, performing complex assessments, monitoring, and interventions for patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological conditions. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, support patients and families through education, and uphold rigorous safety and quality standards. Provide direct neuro critical care to ICU patients, including assessment, monitoring, and interventions Administer medications, infusions, and treatments per provider orders and protocols Continuously monitor neurological status, hemodynamics, and ventilator settings, escalating changes promptly Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interprofessional team to develop and implement care plans Educate patients and families on condition, treatments, and post-ICU care expectations Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record Maintain infection prevention, safety, and quality standards in the Neuro ICU environment Participate in codes, rapid responses, and emergency neurological interventions Precept and mentor new nurses, supporting a culture of learning and teamwork Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives on the unit Neuro critical care nursing Neurological assessment and monitoring ICU hemodynamic monitoring Ventilator management Administration of IV medications and infusions Stroke and TBI management protocols Rapid response and code management Infection prevention and control Electronic health record documentation Patient and family education Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license (TN or compact state) Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) NIH Stroke Scale certification (or obtained shortly after hire) Critical care certification (CCRN) preferred Previous ICU or neuro acute care experience preferred
