Operations & Maintenance Technician (Philadelphia Metro Area)

Principal Responsibilities: Relationship Management Fosters positive working relationships with internal teams, asset owners, and site stakeholders Communicates site issues in a timely and accurate manner Builds strong relationships with host facilities and off-taker representatives System Operation and Maintenance Works under the supervision of senior technicians and electricians to perform O&M tasks Performs preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and completes electronic reports Responds to site outages and performs basic troubleshooting within required response times Supports corrective repairs including component replacement and system adjustments Documents all service visits through electronic maintenance logs and service reports Assists with warranty equipment replacements and related documentation Supports inventory management, including receiving and returning equipment Utilizes monitoring platforms to review system performance, including periodic weekend monitoring Safety & Training Follows and supports the organization's safety culture Logs safety observations and utilizes stop-work authority when necessary Identifies jobsite hazards and escalates when work is outside scope or unsafe Properly utilizes PPE in compliance with OSHA and NFPA 70E standards Builds technical knowledge across solar equipment and systems Maintains required certifications and equipment operator licenses Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year of experience with commercial or utility-scale solar PV systems Preferred Skills & Experience General understanding of electrical, structural, and construction plans Knowledge of electrical equipment construction and operation Experience with the National Electric Code (NEC) Nextracker and/or ATI certification preferred NABCEP Installation Professional and/or Technical Sales Certification preferred Strong computer and technical skills Strong communication and organizational skills Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license Demonstration of company core values: Community, Safety, Perpetual Improvement, Nature, Joy, and Respect Working Conditions & Physical Requirements 90% field work with frequent travel to project sites Some evening and weekend work is required Some periods of being on-call to address outages, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues affecting operating assets Ability to work in all weather conditions Frequent physical activity including walking, climbing, bending, and lifting (up to 40 lbs) Exposure to construction site environments and hazards Salary and Benefits This position is classified as Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt, meaning employees are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
