Everyone at PCC is expected to: Collaborate Demonstrate Kindness Focus on the customer Instill trust Value diversity Main Job Responsibilities Models and provides excellent, professional customer service Assists the Grocery Coordinator in overseeing Grocery Department operations, including merchandising, scheduling, ordering, productivity, budgeting, inventory, gross profit, and reporting Helps train, supervise, and evaluate all grocery department staff Stocks grocery displays with attention to quantity, quality, timeliness, appearance of displays, and merchandising plan Handles price changes and signage Acts as back-up to Grocery Coordinator and oversees department in the Coordinator's absence Participates in long and short-term department planning Ensures that the department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met Helps maintain integrity of organic standards for the bulk department Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met Qualifications and SkillsProven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service Must have a flexible schedule with availability to work evenings and weekends Ordering and inventory management skills Strong merchandising skills Demonstrated organizational and planning skills Excellent leadership, teambuilding, problem solving, and communication skills Computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft Office products and file management Previous supervisory experience preferred Must be able to meet physical demands of position including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting between 10-40lbs regularly A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required If hired into this role, a Certified Food Protection Manager certification (for example ServSafe) is required (paid for by PCC) If hired into this role, a CPR/First Aid Certification is required (paid for by PCC)
