General Manager – Residential Home Services (HVAC & Plumbing) Fort Lauderdale, Florida | Confidential SearchThe OpportunityA PE-backed home services platform is hiring a General Manager to lead its Fort Lauderdale business. The location has a well-established plumbing operation that is tracking to its 2026 budget, plus a younger HVAC business with a lot of room to grow. This role is for an HVAC operator who has scaled a residential services business before and wants to do it again, with the backing, resources and equity upside to make it count.

Role Summary: You'll have full ownership of the location's performance. Most of your focus will go on growing HVAC (revenue, technician capacity, sales performance and profitability) while keeping the plumbing business running well. As the platform grows, you'll also have the chance to help integrate tuck-in acquisitions in the market. It's a hands-on leadership role with a clear mandate to build.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the full P&L and overall performance of the Fort Lauderdale location
Grow the HVAC business toward plan and beyond, building on a strong plumbing foundation
Lead, coach and develop a leadership team of 5 direct reports
Raise standards across operational efficiency, service quality, customer experience and accountability
Support the integration and performance of future tuck-in acquisitions
Work closely with the Regional Operations Director on strategy, planning and results
What You'll BringProven leadership experience in residential HVAC. This is required, and we can't consider adjacent industries for this role
A track record of growing a home services business through a build-and-scale phase
Experience leading teams through growth, integration and process improvement
The ability to drive daily execution while building for long-term scale
A commercial, results-driven mindset and the credibility to lead from the front

Compensation

Base salary: $170,000–$200,000

Bonus: 50% targetLTIP: $400,000 target
