Lab Technician I - $19.09 (2nd Shift)

Schedule: Monday-Friday (2:00pm-10:30pm with some weekend work and OT.Analytical testing of various vegetable oils using Stratas SOPs. Testing of samples at various points in the process, production samples, inbound and outbound truck and railcar samples.

Responsibilities: Communicate to management when test results indicate that corrective action is necessary. Prioritize samples as they arrive in laboratory. Complete analytical testing and paperwork in a timely manner. Enter all analysis into data base (TLC).Learn new procedures as necessary. Develop a thorough understanding of laboratory processes and procedures. Attend all training and safety meetings as scheduled. Comply with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies. Attend scheduled safety and GMP meetings. Packaging line Quality Assurance. Finished product and incoming material testing. Storage of production retains. Communication with supervisor/lead person/Lab Supervisor of laboratory results or quality concerns. Other duties as assigned.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required

Related Experience: Three (3) years' previous laboratory experience preferred Equipment/Software Skills: Basic data entry skills required

Additional Information: Physical: This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights Sensory: Visual, speaking, and touch is essential. Mental/Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
