Summary
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Settlement Analyst / Accounting Associate II to support settlement operations, account reconciliations, cash management activities, and transaction processing. This role is ideal for candidates with banking, settlement operations, accounting, or financial services experience who enjoy problem-solving, analyzing variances, and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Perform settlement reconciliations and balancing activities. Prepare and complete cash and balance sheet account reconciliations. Record and maintain general ledger journal entries. Monitor and process payments and payment files in accordance with established procedures. Research and resolve discrepancies, out-of-balance conditions, and transaction processing issues. Analyze settlement data and provide concise explanations for variances and fluctuations. Partner with internal teams, clients, and service providers to resolve operational issues. Support ongoing process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in:->Settlement operations->Banking operations->Accounting or finance-related roles
  • Strong understanding of:->Account reconciliation and balancing processes->Cash management->Financial analysis->Banking transactions including ACH, wires, debit card, and credit card processing
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with accounting systems such as Oracle is a plus.
