Through a caring, compassionate, philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospice receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tristate area. Requirements:
Licensed Master of Social Work, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or License Mental Health Counselor required.
Specialized training in the area of death and dying preferred or related field.
At least two years of hospice experience preferred.
Position requires ability to commute to multiple territories to ensure continuity of care.
A valid driver's license is required.(This requirement does not apply to positions assigned exclusively to Manhattan territory)
A vehicle is required to commute to patients. (This requirement does not apply to positions assigned exclusively to Manhattan territory)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Exhibits and ability and attitude relative to the spirit of caring and tradition at Calvary Hospital as required by specific job duties and functions.
Includes accrued vacation days, sick days, holidays, and free days.
Pension (vested after 5 years of full-time or part-time service)
