Production Technician

Responsibilities: Inspect frames for damage, warping, or tension loss Degrease and coat mesh screens with emulsion or capillary film to spec Expose screens on UV units and wash out to reveal the print image Inspect screens for pinholes, blocked mesh, or emulsion breakdown Apply block-out and screen tape to prevent ink leakage Verify artwork registration and text clarity against production proofs Measure screen tension with a Newton meter Reclaim screens by removing ink, stripping stencils, and de-hazing mesh Handle and dispose of chemical waste per safety regulations File and store screens, track supply inventory, and keep the screen room clean Must Haves 12 years of screen-printing experience Working knowledge of mesh counts, emulsions, exposure timing, and screen tensioning Strong eye for detail to catch pinholes and misalignment in fine-line artwork Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs Comfortable working in wet, chemical, and darkroom/yellow-lit environments while following PPE requirements Preferred Skills Container, graphic, or industrial printing experience Experience printing on cylindrical or shaped containers
