Bartender

Job Description: This role will involve:

• Interacting with guests in a natural, friendly demeanor
• Cultivating regular guests and repeat business
• Successfully completing a pour test prior to every shift, where applicable
• Suggestively selling both beverages and menu items to guests at the bar
• Delivering food items and beverage orders promptly
• Prioritizing and organizing drink orders
• Consistently preparing beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications, abiding by all control systems
• Recording any equipment failure and/or safety hazards in bar log
• Recognizing when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refusing further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of a manager
• Ensuring responsible alcohol service per local ordinance alcohol awareness training and Company alcohol policies
• Requesting proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age
• Maintaining HOB safety and sanitation standards
• Performing opening/running/closing duties according to Company policy
• Preparing guest checks (on point of sales terminal) and processing payment according to Company policy
• Maintaining bartender bank
• Performing cash pull / check out procedures
• Maintaining appropriate Comp and Spill checks
• Required to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue
• What This Person Will Bring

Preferred: 4 years work experience in high volume environment
