These would be a part of projects across mission critical environments (data centers, healthcare, manufacturing).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical design and implementation projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met. Design, specify, and select mechanical systems and components, with consideration for energy efficiency, cost, performance, and regulatory requirements. Perform load calculations, airflow analyses, equipment sizing, and other technical assessments to support mechanical system design. Ensure designs comply with applicable local and international codes, standards, and safety regulations, including ASHRAE, LEED, and NFPA.Prepare and review technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, equipment selections, submittals, and cost estimates. Provide technical oversight throughout installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members. Collaborate with clients, owners, contractors, and internal teams to understand project requirements and develop effective technical solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.8+ years of relevant mechanical engineering, design, or design-build experience, with a strong focus on HVAC and piping systems. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. LEED accreditation is a plus. Proficiency with HVAC design and engineering software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Trane TRACE, or Carrier HAP.Working knowledge of building management systems (BMS).Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal and external project teams. Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership. Strong work ethic with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities while working within demanding project deadlines.
