Our multidisciplinary team is developing cutting‑edge solutions in optics, electronics, and wearable systems, to deliver solutions starting with low vision, and expanding to other assistive devices and broader consumer applications. As part of our engineering leadership, you'll play a critical role in bringing these innovations from concept to market. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer Technical Leadwith strong expertise indigital signal design and validationto guide the development of our next‑generation smart glasses. This role is ideal for a hands‑on engineer who thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys tackling complex system challenges, and wants to shape innovative products inwearable assistive technologies. You will be responsible for driving designs fromconcept through production, ensuring quality and reliability at every stage. As a leader, you'll provide technical direction to internal teams and contractors, while collaborating cross‑functionally with mechanical engineers, software engineers, program managers, and manufacturing partners.
Responsibilities: Design & Development: Lead system‑level electrical design of wearable smart glasses involving high‑speed and low‑speed digital interfaces. Collaborate on architecture trade‑offs balancing performance, cost, power, and reliability. Apply Signal Integrity and Power Integrity (SIPI)expertise to ensure robust designs. Addresscoexistence challengesin systems with high‑speed interfaces across multiple subsystems. Validation & Production: Manage and engage withcontract manufacturersand suppliers. Plan and execute validation of units through engineering builds. Own root‑cause analysis and corrective action for electrical issues. Oversee transition from prototype to production, ensuring designs areDFX (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, and Reliability)compliant. Leadership & Collaboration: Providetechnical guidance, promoting best practices in design and validation. Communicate across teams and levels, providing regular updates to execs. Lead and participate indesign reviews(concept, schematic, layout, DFM)Act as theprimary technical interfacewith internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners. Foster aninclusive and collaborativeengineering culture where all voices are valued.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree(or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related field.5+ years of experiencein electrical design and validation for complex systems. Strong background inschematics/layoutandSIPIsimulation/analysis tools. Familiarity with tight package designs considering desense and Coex issues. Hands‑on experience withhigh‑speed interfaces (USB, MIPI, LVDS, PCIe, DDR etc.)and low‑speed peripherals. Experience taking products fromconcept to mass production. Track record ofowning problems end‑to‑endand solving them with minimal guidance. Excellent verbal and written communication skillswith the ability to tailor technical discussions to different audiences.
Preferred: 2+ years as a technical lead or manager, mentoring teams or leading contractors. Experience inconsumer electronics, ideally inwearablesor similarly constrained systems. Experience collaborating withcontract manufacturersand global supply chain partners.

Compensation Range: $140,000 to $160,000 + restricted stock awards
