Emergency Department Registered Nurse

OhioHealth is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Riverside Methodist Hospital to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced, acute setting. In this role, you will perform rapid assessments, triage, and interventions for diverse patient populations, administer medications, and closely monitor patient conditions using advanced technology and evidence-based protocols. You will collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and uphold strict safety, quality, and infection-control standards. Provide direct patient care in the emergency department following OhioHealth clinical standards Conduct rapid assessments, triage patients, and respond to critical situations and emergencies Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per provider orders and protocols Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs, and document care accurately in the EMR Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions Maintain infection control, safety, and quality standards within the ED Participate in continuous learning, competency training, and quality improvement initiatives Support an inclusive, compassionate environment aligned with OhioHealth values Precept or mentor new nurses and support staff as needed Emergency nursing Patient triage IV insertion and medication administration Critical care monitoring Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Cardiac rhythm interpretation Patient and family education Infection control and safety protocols Interdisciplinary team collaboration Quality and performance improvement Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in OH BLS certification ACLS certification preferred PALS or TNCC preferred Emergency nursing experience preferred
