The Role:
We're looking for an associate attorney with 0 to 3 years of litigation experience and a genuine passion for family law. You'll handle the full range of family law matters — divorce, child custody and support, paternity, adoption, dependency and neglect, alimony, and Hague Convention cases — working closely with our managing partner and clients as both negotiator and trial attorney. We invest heavily in the right person: training, tools, and coaching to help you reach — and stay at — the top of your game. Mississippi and Tennessee licensing is preferred but not required.
What You'll Do:
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings
- Interview clients and witnesses
- Prepare for and argue at hearings and trials
- Assist first-chair attorneys with trial preparation
- Analyze statutes, regulations, and case law
- Organize case files and track deadlines closely
- Move client cases toward resolution efficiently
What We're Looking For:
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal rules of practice and procedure
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Comfortable under pressure and meeting deadlines
- A team player with a positive, professional attitude
- Sound judgment, discretion, and trustworthiness
- Comfortable presenting in court, meetings, and on Zoom
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools
- Compassion and maturity working with clients in crisis
Compensation & Benefits:
Total compensation depends on experience and dual-licensing costs. We offer 401(k) with matching, health/dental/vision insurance, an HSA, life insurance, paid sick leave and PTO, an EAP, and professional development support.
