Compensation: Up to $120 per hour

Overview: We are working with a well-established trading firm seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to join their technology team on a high-profile contract engagement based in Houston. This role is an initial 6-month contract but comes with a high likelihood of long-term extension or permanent conversion for exceptional performers.

The Role: This position is a key part of the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade, distributed systems that support critical trading and risk functions. You will be responsible for architecting solutions that handle high-throughput data and complex financial logic, ensuring the stability and scalability of the firm's trading infrastructure.

Experience: 8+ years of experience architecting and delivering enterprise-scale distributed systems Technical Core: Strong hands-on development expertise in PythonCloud Infrastructure: Extensive experience working with AWS in production environments Domain Expertise: Essential background within Trading or Financial Markets

Education: BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
