RN - NICU

Registered Nurse (RN) - NICUJob Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, particularly in Level 4 NICU or robust Level 3 surgical experience. The successful applicant will be required to embrace a flexible schedule with day and night shift rotations, as well as weekend availability.

Shift Details: Options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts. Must work two of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's, including the eves of these holidays. No holiday requests for time off allowed.

Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill neonates. Float between various units, including PICU and CVICU, and to satellite locations as needed. Utilize specialized equipment and techniques relevant to the NICU setting.

Qualifications: 2 years of recent clinical experience in a Level 4 NICU or strong surgical experience in a Level 3 NICU that performs surgeries on newborns. Must possess or be in the process of obtaining a California nursing license; pending licenses accepted if an ETA is provided. National certifications: BLS, Advanced NRP, PALS preferred. Experience with oscillators, conventional ventilators, CPAP, specialty gases, PICC lines, Broviacs, UAC/UVC/PAL lines, tracheostomies, ostomies, and G-Tubes. Must be comfortable performing line changes involving multiple drips as well as pre and post-operative care.

Additional Requirements: Must have own transportation and willingness to travel between locations. Must be flexible and adaptable to changes in scheduled shifts. No block scheduling is available. Maximum of 6 days of time off requests allowed.
