Description: American Traveler is hiring an ED RN Care Coordinator/Case Manager requiring recent CA RNCC experience within a Dignity or CommonSpirit facility and active CA RN licensure. Details Acute care, Level 2 Trauma hospital setting within the Care Coordination/Case Management department, specifically assigned to the Emergency Department Handles 15-20 patient consults per day across all payer types, including uninsured and homeless populations Responsibilities include initial assessments, utilization review (UR), and discharge planning using InterQual criteria Covers all areas of the hospital with no outpatient or home care responsibilities Uses Cerner EMR for charting and InterQual for utilization review Shift schedule is with hours generally falling between 8am-5pm depending on department needs Requires working every other weekend, with at least one full weekend per month Holiday coverage is not required but welcomed if willing On-site Hospitalist/Intensivist and 24/7 Respiratory Therapy support available

Requirements: Active CA RN license required BSN required BLS (AHA) certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Recent experience as an RN Care Coordinator (RNCC) within a Dignity or CommonSpirit facility is mandatory for consideration Prior ED Care Coordination experience required Familiarity with InterQual criteria required Experience with Cerner EMR required Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years worked, both including employment dates and rehire eligibility Copy of driver's license required to validate legal name matches government-issued ID
