Position Overview: NuWest is seeking an experienced Physical Therapy Assistant for a 26–52 week contract in Ekalaka, Montana. You’ll support patients in a rural outpatient setting, guiding them through exercises and functional activities under the direction of the staff Physical Therapist. Private studio housing is available at no charge.

Key Responsibilities: Instruct, motivate, safeguard, and assist patients in therapeutic exercises and functional activities under the direction of the staff Physical Therapist Observe patients during treatment, compile and evaluate data on their responses and progress, and report findings to the staff Physical Therapist Monitor vital signs and apply cardiovascular and respiratory precautions for patients receiving physical medicine services Apply physical therapy modalities in line with established plans of care Operate physical therapy equipment safely and help with routine maintenance and repairs Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and physical medicine to support safe, effective treatment Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of specialty experience Satisfactory completion of Physical Therapy Aide Competency Evaluation and job training Current BLS certification Working knowledge of physical therapy modalities, equipment operation, and maintenance Must be able to pass required background checks and drug screening Why NuWest?
