Leading the design of high-voltage substations, the full-time Licensed Lead Protection Engineer will serve as a technical subject matter expert, developing innovative engineering solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring project success while working remotely or in a hybrid arrangement from various U.S. locations.
Key responsibilities: Design substation protection and control systems, including one-line and three-line diagrams, schematics, and SCADA systems Develop protective relaying and control system designs for transmission and distribution substations Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure successful project execution and compliance with QA/QC processesRequired qualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution 10+ years of experience in substation protection and control design engineering Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Professional Engineering (P.E.) License preferred Experience with protective relaying and control systems for substations ranging from 12kV to 500kV
