Ultrasound Technologist

South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers (STRIC) seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic sonographic exams in a patient-centered environment. You will operate advanced ultrasound equipment, follow established imaging protocols, and collaborate with radiologists and physicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include patient preparation and education, image acquisition and optimization, documentation, and adherence to safety and infection-control standards. Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams following established protocols and physician orders Operate and troubleshoot advanced ultrasound equipment and related PACS/RIS systems Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure comfort and exam quality Collaborate with radiologists and providers to support accurate interpretation and diagnosis Evaluate images for quality, completeness, and appropriate anatomical coverage Document procedures and maintain accurate patient and imaging records Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives Support training/orientation of new staff or students as needed Communicate empathetically with patients and families in a professional manner Diagnostic medical sonography Abdominal ultrasound imaging OB/GYN ultrasound imaging Vascular ultrasound basics Ultrasound physics and instrumentation Image optimization and troubleshooting PACS/RIS and EMR documentation Patient positioning and body mechanics Infection control and safety protocols Basic life support (BLS) Anatomy and physiology applied to imaging Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ARDMS certification (or eligibility) in Abdomen and/or OB/GYN Current BLS certification State licensure/registration as applicable Clinical ultrasound internship/externship experience
