Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinating safe and efficient operations to meet production and quality targets within budgeted costs
- Supervising unionized wage and salaried non-union personnel
- Budgeting and cost management
- Identifying cost and efficiency improvement opportunities
- Ensuring personnel are adequately trained to perform their jobs
- Directing outside contractors as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering discipline or related technical experience (chemical engineering preferred)
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing supervision (chemical manufacturing) role
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings
- Must be a self-starter and able to manage multiple tasks at a time
- Analytical skills and a desire to provide "attention to detail"Excellent track record of accomplishments demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to produce positive results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate others
- Strong change management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP proficiency
- Knowledge of chemical process equipment
- Knowledge of OSHA PSM (Process Safety Management)
