To enhance the Design System team, the full-time Senior Design Engineer will research, build, and maintain accessible React components, focusing on developer experience improvements and driving adoption through high-quality documentation and code review.
Key responsibilities:
Research and maintain accessible React components with a focus on headless accessibility and keyboard interaction
Enhance the component library by improving APIs and enabling complex migrations with codemods and semantic versioning
Drive adoption through documentation, usage guidelines, and collaboration with product teams on code review and issue triage
Required qualifications:
6+ years of frontend engineering experience, including building or maintaining a production design system
Deep knowledge of React, TypeScript, semantic HTML, and CSS architecture at scale
Working knowledge of WCAG 2.x and WAI-ARIA, with hands-on experience in accessibility testing
Experience with design-token architecture and tools for managing design tokens
Background in design system or UI/UX platform teams, particularly in developer tools or B2B SaaS environments
