Senior Developer - Backend

Java and Node Engineering Talent Opportunity Fidelity Investments is looking for top Java and Node engineering talent that can, via skilled development, deliver enterprise scale customer facing services. This role will play a key part in developing Fidelity’s next generation of life events planning solutions. This position is based in Westlake, TX - must sit onsite 3 days a month The TeamAs part of the Advanced Process Solutions division within Fidelity Investments, you will join a Scrum team of 6-8 highly talented individuals tasked with re-imagining the customer experience and associate workflow for Fidelity. The team will be focused on developing a new microservices based platform to support life events and beneficiary qualification process. The product would be developed primarily using JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, and AWS services. The Expertise You Have Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / similar technical discipline and or equivalent experience 5+ years in Software Engineering 2+ years of experience building back-end services in Javascript with NodeJSExperience with AWS and other cloud-based development methodologies / best-practices Solid understanding of REST concepts and developing REST APIs with NodeJSUnderstanding with serverless computing and EKS based applications is a plus Hands on experience with: Git, Docker, Python, Shell Scripts is a plus Knowledge of Cloud databases including – DynamoDB and RDS is a plus.
