Construction Operations Manager

Commercial Construction / Real Estate client is looking for a direct hire Operations Manager to lead and oversee multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Manage day-to-day operations for a commercial construction office and field team, including Superintendents, Project Managers, Estimators, Accounting, and other support personnel. Provide leadership across project management, field operations, estimating, contracts, scheduling, job costing, billing, and project closeout. Review and interpret construction documents, project schedules, estimates, contracts, and job-cost reports to identify risks, opportunities, and areas requiring attention. Oversee construction financial performance, including WIP reporting, committed costs, cost-to-complete forecasting, cash flow, retainage, and gross-margin analysis. Establish and monitor operational procedures, KPIs, and management reporting to improve accountability, efficiency, and project profitability. Partner with ownership and leadership to develop scalable processes, systems, and organizational infrastructure to support company growth. Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented culture. Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements that enhance project execution, communication, and financial performance. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and strong client relationships. Support business development and strategic planning initiatives, including evaluating new opportunities and contributing to the company’s overall growth strategy.
