Preservation Architect

Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine their condition and necessary preservation measures Develop preservation plans and specifications in compliance with local state and federal regulations Collaborate with clients contractors and other professionals to ensure preservation projects meet budgetary and timeline requirements Oversee the implementation of preservation plans including coordinating with construction teams and obtaining necessary permits Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise Prepare detailed reports on the condition of historic structures progress of preservation projects and any necessary revisions to plans Stay up-to-date on current preservation techniques materials and technologies

Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or a related field Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation projects Strong knowledge of local state and federal regulations related to historic preservation Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients contractors and other professionals involved in preservation projects Proficient in AutoCAD or other architectural software Salary $1200month Location Akron Open to Kenyan nationals This is an urgent position Applicants must have their own visa for working in Akron Accommodation will not be provided English proficiency is required for this role Join our team as a Preservation Architect and help preserve the rich history of Akrons heritage buildings
