Offices of LawyersAll Other Legal ServicesLegal Counsel and ProsecutionA well-established Mid-Atlantic litigation firm is seeking multiple Associate Attorneys to join its growing Virginia practice (Richmond, Fairfax, hybrid, or remote).This role offers hands-on litigation experience, regular courtroom exposure, direct mentorship from experienced litigators, and a clear path toward managing increasingly sophisticated matters as your practice grows. The practice includes a broad range of civil litigation matters, including: Personal Injury Defense Premises Liability Auto & Transportation Litigation General Liability Products Liability Commercial Litigation Insurance Defense We are moving efficiently and can typically take candidates from first conversation to decision within approximately two weeks.
Responsibilities:
Manage an active litigation docket from inception through resolution Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses Take and defend depositions Participate in mediations, hearings, and trial preparation Appear in Virginia State and Federal Courts Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and claims professionals Develop litigation strategy alongside experienced partners and trial attorneys Handle increasing levels of responsibility as experience grows
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school Active Virginia Bar license required Maryland and/or DC Bar admission is a plus, but not required 2+ years of civil litigation experience, though more senior candidates will be considered Insurance defense experience preferred but not required Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills Experience drafting motions and handling discovery Deposition experience preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously Desire to develop as a courtroom advocate and litigator
Compensation & Benefits:
