Reports to: Director of NursingOVERVIEW:The patient transporter is directly responsible for the courteous, safe and timely movement of patients from one patient care area to another within the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Transports patients by assisting patients in and out of vehicles; lifting patients on and off beds; moving them to and from special service and treatment areas; using wheelchairs or moveable beds Transports equipment and supplies by picking-up requisitioned orders; delivering them to assigned treatment areas and patient care areas Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with federal and state legal regulations and requirements Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities Assist in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) processQUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:Experience in patient transport, medical experience and patient contact preferred High School Diploma or EquivalencyC ACTIVE CNA license
