Employment Type: Full-Time Job Purpose The Field Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all field service operations related to steam turbine maintenance, repair, and overhauls. This role leads a team of Technical Field Service Advisors, Turbine Mechanics, and third-party contractors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The role is a critical link between operations, supply chain, and the customer - responsible for client communication, strategic planning, and driving service growth.
Roles & Responsibilities: Operations & Project Management Plan, coordinate, and schedule all field service and overhaul projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Serve as the primary point of contact for all field service activities and maintain strong client relationships. Deliver high-quality service solutions to maximize customer satisfaction and drive repeat business. Prepare regular daily and final reports on field service activities, including project status, performance metrics, and customer feedback. Maintain accurate documentation including work orders, service reports, and equipment manuals. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, train, and manage a skilled team of technical field service advisors, turbine mechanics, and support staff. Lead, mentor, and provide guidance and support to field service personnel. Provide comprehensive training on steam turbine operation, maintenance, repair, safety protocols, and customer service. Compliance, Safety & Quality Responsible for legal and regulatory compliance, including obtaining necessary licenses and permits to operate across different states. Ensure compliance with HSE and industry-specific regulations and standards. Develop and implement robust health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols to ensure team well-being. Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safety measures at all job sites. Implement quality control measures for disassembly, reassembly, and FME (Foreign Material Exclusion).Supply Chain & Inventory Ensure Supply Chain Management processes and procedures are in place and followed to meet operational demands. Ensure adequate inventory management to minimize disruption and maintain quality of service. Competencies & Skills Strong Sales & Strategic Orientation Proven experience managing both Union and Non-Union crews Expert ability to troubleshoot Steam Turbines In-depth knowledge of turbine maintenance, repair, and overhauls Class A Contractor License holder OR meets criteria for licensing Stakeholder Management and Cross-functional Team Leadership Cognitive Agility and Strong Decision-Making Skills Leadership & Team Development Agile Mindset and Ability to Drive Change Knowledge Required Strong knowledge of Industrial Product portfolio, especially in Rotating Equipment / Power Plant domain (preferably Steam Turbines)Knowledge of Business & Sales Processes and Methods Understanding of business/industry trends, emerging market trends, customer behavior, and competitor landscape Proficiency in MS Office and analytical tools Techno-commercial understanding of Sales portfolio Knowledge of Spanish language is a strong advantage
Experience Required: Minimum 10 years of direct experience in Field Service within rotating equipment / power generation / steam turbines.
