Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Dance Instructor role based in Stevensville MI. The Dance Instructor will plan and deliver engaging dance classes across various levels, focusing on technique, performance skills, and safe movement practices. Daily responsibilities include developing lesson plans, demonstrating choreography, providing individualized feedback, and preparing students for recitals or performances. The role also involves maintaining a positive classroom environment, communicating with students and families, and collaborating with other instructors to support studio events and programs. The instructor is expected to uphold studio policies, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong skills in Dance Instruction and Dance Education. Candidates should possess skills in Teaching and mentoring students in group and individual settings. Candidates should possess advanced Dance technique and performance skills. Candidates should possess understanding of Music as it relates to rhythm, timing, and choreography. Experience teaching diverse age groups and skill levels in a studio or school setting. Knowledge of safe movement practices and basic injury prevention. Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills. Ability to work on-site in Stevensville MI with a 9 month set schedule. Additional hours are available as well as performing and choreography tasks. Formal training in dance (e.g., conservatory, academy, or degree in Dance or Performing Arts) is preferred. Prior experience choreographing for recitals, showcases, or competitions is an advantage.
