Position Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex financial and operational data, identifying cost reduction opportunities, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across the mill. Therole partners with operational leaders to improve business performance, strengthen controls, and support strategicdecision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Month-End Close: Coordinate month-end close activities, maintain closing checklists, prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, analyze variances, and support timely and accurate financial reporting. (30%)Compliance & Reporting: Ensure SOX and GAAP compliance; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting; support audits, tax schedules, and government reporting requirements. (25%)Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting activities including production, labor, energy, sales, and raw materials. Identify cost trends and financial risks. (20%)People Leadership: Lead and develop accountants and accounting clerks by setting goals, managingperformance, prioritizing work, and fostering collaboration. (15%)Business Partnership: Support operational leaders with financial analysis, capital project justification, cost-saving initiatives, and maintenance of internal controls.   • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of finance or accounting experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • ERP experience, preferably SAP.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Strong ERP knowledge (SAP preferred).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
  • Results-driven and detail-oriented mindset.
