Serious enough to staff files properly, and serious enough to train the people working them. The docket • Construction defect defense for contractors, subcontractors and design professionals • Residential and commercial projects: condos, multifamily, mixed use • Multiparty litigation: cross claims, tenders, expert coordination, site inspections • Depositions, mediations and hearings, with trial work as you progress The deal • Hybrid to start, working from the Tampa office part of the week, with the option to go fully remote once you're settled in • 1,900 billable hours • $125,000 to $180,000. It's broad on purpose, so a strong 2nd year and a seasoned counsel level lawyer both fit • Florida Bar required What you need • 2+ years of construction defect defense. This is a specialist seat. If you haven't handled CD files, this one isn't the right fit • Comfort reading plans, expert reports and scopes of work • An instinct for keeping a file with a dozen parties moving Why move Construction defect rewards lawyers who stay long enough to get very good at it.
