BUS CLEANER/FUELER (CDL Class B REQUIRED)

Location: Orlando, FL Pay Rate: $24.07 per hour Job Type: Full-Time | Shift Work (Evenings, Weekends, Holidays) | Bargaining UnitAbout the RoleLYNX is seeking a Bus/Cleaner/Fueler (CDL B) also known at LYNX as the Service Island Attendant A, you will help keep our buses and support vehicles clean, fueled and ready for service. This hands-on position cleans vehicle interiors and exteriors, operates buses through the wash rack, checks and replenishes fluids, inspects tire conditions, and maintains accurate servicing records. Responsibilities also include safely moving and parking buses, driving vehicles on public roadways, and assisting with vehicle swap-outs. This safety-sensitive position requires a valid Florida Class B CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement and the ability to operate buses equipped with air brakes. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and working assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

What You'll Do: Fuel buses and service vehicles; check oil, water, and tire conditions. Drive buses through wash racks and clean interiors (floors, seats, windows).Remove trash, refill fare boxes, and complete cleaning/service documentation. Operate forklifts and automated cleaning equipment as needed. Safely maneuver buses and support vehicles on public roadways.

What We're Looking For: Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED plus 1 year of related experience in vehicle servicing or industrial cleaning. Licenses: Valid Florida CDL Class "B" with Passenger ("P") endorsement and airbrakes. Must pass DOT physical exam and maintain a valid DOT Medical Card. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Details: As a member of a bargaining unit, this position follows a seniority-based system for bidding on shifts and days off. Eligible for Bloodborne Pathogen Program. Position is mission-critical during emergencies or disasters. Must be available for varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
