Position Overview:
The Industrial Engineer plays a critical role in optimizing manufacturing operations by designing efficient plant layouts, improving process flows, and establishing accurate labor and capacity requirements. This position partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams to drive safety, productivity, quality, and delivery performancewhilesupportingnewproductlaunchesandoperationalexcellenceinitiatives. Throughdata-drivenanalysisandprocessoptimization, the Industrial Engineerhelpsensurethefacilityoperatesatpeakefficiencyandispositionedtomeetcustomerandbusinessobjectives.
What you'll do:
Develop, implement, andoptimizeplantlayouts, processlayouts, andmaterialflowstrategiestoimprovesafety, quality, andoperationalefficiency. Conductcycletimestudies, laboranalyses, andworkforceplanningactivitiestosupportproductionrequirementsandcapacityutilization. Analyzeproductionprocessesandbalancemanufacturinglinestomaximizeproductivityandeliminateinefficiencies. Performergonomicassessmentsandsafetyevaluations, implementingcorrectiveactionstoreduceriskandimproveworkplaceconditions. Leadandparticipateinindustrialengineeringstudies, capacityanalyses, andcontinuousimprovementinitiativesacrossmanufacturingoperations. Supportnewproductlaunchesandprocesstransfersbyestablishinglayouts, processflows, cycletimes, andstaffingrequirements. Partnerwithcross-functionalteamstodevelopandmaintainstandardwork, operationalmetrics, andperformanceimprovementplans. Identifyandremoveindustrialengineering-relatedbarriersthatmayimpactsafety, quality, productivity, ordeliveryperformance. All other duties as assigned
Who you are:
Bachelor'sdegreein Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, orarelatedengineeringdiscipline. Minimumof 3yearsof Industrial Engineeringexperienceinamanufacturingenvironment;5+yearspreferred. Demonstratedexperienceconductingtimestudies, laborplanning, cycletimeanalysis, andcapacityplanning. Knowledgeofplantlayoutdesign, processoptimization, linebalancing, andworkflowimprovementmethodologies. Experienceperformingergonomicassessmentsandapplyingworkplacesafetyprinciplesinmanufacturingenvironments. Stronganalytical, problem-solving, anddatainterpretationskillswiththeabilitytomakedata-drivenrecommendations. Effectivecommunicationandcollaborationskillswiththeabilitytoinfluencecross-functionalteamsandstakeholders. Provenabilitytomanagemultiplepriorities, projects, anddeadlinesinafast-pacedenvironment. Proficiencyin Microsoft Officeapplications, particularly Excel; familiaritywith Lean Manufacturingand Continuous Improvementmethodologiespreferred. Abilitytoworkinbothofficeandmanufacturingenvironments, includingstanding, walking, climbingstairs/ladders, andoccasionallyassistingwithmovingmaterialsweighing 50poundsormore; abilitytotravel 10%+asneeded.
