Role Description: The Site Safety Manager is a contract, on-site role based in Georgetown, SC, responsible for overseeing safety practices at active tank construction and repair sites. This role involves conducting daily site safety inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Site Safety Manager will coordinate and deliver safety training for site personnel, monitor adherence to established safety procedures, and maintain accurate records and documentation. Additionally, this role will lead incident and accident investigations, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety considerations into work planning. The Site Safety Manager will serve as a visible safety resource on-site, supporting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Looking to fill this role immediately- Erection and painting of 5 above ground storage tanks is expected to last through Mid- February- working a 5x 10 schedule.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong Occupational Health and Industrial Safety skills, with experience applying them in construction or industrial environments. Candidates should possess Safety Training capabilities and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) knowledge, including developing and delivering safety programs. Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Relevant experience in site safety management for construction, industrial, or heavy fabrication projects is strongly preferred. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards is beneficial. Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence safe behavior and collaborate with cross-functional site teams. Ability to work on-site in Georgetown, SC, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach to hazard recognition and risk mitigation. Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, OSHA 30) and a related technical or safety-focused education are a plus.
