Solid background in financial performance, balance-sheet management, risk, and capital interact. The AVP will work across Finance, Risk, Treasury, and business leadership to develop a consistent view of capital generation, capital consumption, stress resilience, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze the impact of stressed earnings, losses, balance-sheet changes, risk-weighted assets, and capital actions on capital ratios and capital adequacy.
Connect regulatory stress-testing assumptions and results with internal financial forecasts and strategic planning.
Develop scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of changing economic, business, and risk assumptions.
Incorporate capital considerations into budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
Analyze the relationship between revenue, expenses, earnings, balance-sheet growth, risk exposures, and capital generation.
Analyze business performance using measures such as return on allocated capital, risk-adjusted profitability, and capital consumption.
Incorporate stress capital requirements into business performance and capital allocation discussions.
Qualifications:
6+ years of relevant experience in financial services, banking, insurance, asset management, or another complex financial institution.
Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting/Econ/Math, or a related field.
Strong understanding of financial statements and the relationship between earnings, balance-sheet activity, cash flow, and equity.
Understanding of regulatory capital concepts, including capital ratios, risk-weighted assets, capital generation, and capital actions.
Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
MBA, CFA, CPA, FRM, or other relevant professional qualifications are a plus.
