Experience:
8–18 YearsMust Have Technical Skills:8–18 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Direct Material Procurement, Supplier Development, or Category Management. Strong experience sourcing mechanical/manufactured metal components and direct materials. Hands-on experience managing the complete RFQ process from requirement gathering and drawing review through supplier quotation, commercial analysis, and sourcing recommendation. Strong experience in supplier capability assessment, qualification, performance management, supplier development, consolidation, and alternate sourcing. Ability to review engineering drawings, prepare RFQ packages, analyze supplier quotations, and perform techno-commercial comparisons. Experience working with global suppliers and cross-functional teams across North America, Mexico, China, and Europe. Experience with sourcing dashboards, supplier scorecards, industrialization tracking, and Jaggaer or similar sourcing platforms. Strong understanding of cost reduction, supplier negotiation, sourcing strategy, and supplier risk management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for mechanical, electrical, and electronic commodities.
- Manage end-to-end RFQ activities including drawing review, RFQ package preparation, supplier communication, quotation collection, commercial comparison, and sourcing recommendations.
- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop suppliers across the USA, Mexico, China, and Europe.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct supplier capability and performance assessments.
- Drive supplier development, consolidation, alternate sourcing, readiness, and risk mitigation activities.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Owners, Quality, Strategic Sourcing, and Finance teams.
- Track sourcing milestones, supplier readiness, industrialization activities, savings, productivity, and project timelines.
- Prepare daily updates, weekly executive reports, sourcing dashboards, supplier scorecards, and category strategy updates.
- Manage supplier escalations, governance reviews, sourcing risks, delays, and critical project issues.
- Serve as the primary interface between customer stakeholders, suppliers, and offshore sourcing teams.
- Manage multiple sourcing projects while meeting timelines, service-level commitments, and annual savings targets.
