This position supports a wide range of HR functions, including timekeeping and leave management, and employee records management. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, and a dedicated commitment to clear, effective communication at all levels of the organization. The position is full-time, with a work schedule between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The Job Responsibilities are: Reviewing and processing weekly leave requests and monthly timesheet submissionsProcessing all assigned payroll transactionsManaging and processing leaves of absenceConducting payroll and benefits orientation for new hiresAssisting staff through the process as they prepare to exit their employmentAssisting staff with the retirement processAssisting with Workers' Compensation claimsConducting extensive phone and email contact with staff and the publicAssisting staff with questions and concerns by gathering relevant information, evaluating solutions, and ensuring timely resolutionDrafting and preparing correspondenceProviding excellent customer service to employees and external partnersMaintaining and updating necessary databases and recordsPerforming other related duties as assignedThe Minimum Requirements are: High School Diploma or its equivalentThree (3) years of progressively responsible clerical experienceSuccessful completion of a Skills TestThe Preferred Qualifications and Skills are: Working knowledge of personnel processesHaving worked in a Human Resource DepartmentThe Successful Candidate must be able to: Handle confidential information with the highest degree of professional responsibilityPerform a large volume of high priority tasks simultaneouslyPossess and demonstrate knowledge of SAO Office Policies and ProceduresRecognize and establish work priorities and meet non-negotiable stringent deadlinesBe detail-orientedBe proficient in basic arithmetic, solving mathematical scenariosWork independently and be supportive in a team environmentEffectively handle stressful situations on a daily basisPossess and demonstrate great analytical skillsPossess and demonstrate significant knowledge of computer programsPossess and demonstrate very good verbal and written communication skillsPossess and demonstrate excellent organizational skillsPossess and demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff and outside agenciesStarting Annual Salary: $40,714.92
