Hiring Substitute Teachers - Grandview District We are hiring substitutes in Grandview Public School District. No previous experience is required! Remember that educator who made a difference in your life? Now it's your turn! Substituting is an excellent opportunity to be a mentor and help students become the best versions of themselves. Substitutes are essential in ensuring students continue to learn and grow every day. Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher. Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher's aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant or education assistant. Substituting is rewarding. Minimum Requirements: 18+ years of age High school diploma/GED.Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE) requirements & related fees: Click the link to view costs and state-specific fee's associated with being a substitute in Missouri – Missouri DESESubstitute Pay Rates:
  • Teacher, including Early Childhood Education and Special Education: $135 per day
  • Paraprofessional, including Early Childhood Education and Special Education: $15 per hour
  • Clerical: $15 per hour
  • Responsibilities and Job Description(s):Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies
  • Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
  • For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lesson plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments
