Staff Accountant

Hybrid - Full Time: M-F (8AM - 5PM)
Position Overview:
Midwest Shooting Center is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our accounting team and be responsible for completing the day-to-day functions that are essential to providing accurate and timely financial statements to the Leadership Team.
Process, review, and code Accounts Payable invoices for multiple entities; gather required approvals and prepare weekly ACH/check run.
Set up new vendors in Accounts Payable system across multiple entities.
Prepare 1099s each year following IRS guidelines.
Audit, complete, and balance Cash & Inventory files for multiple locations.
Manage daily inventory accounting, ensuring all journal entries are posted, reconciled, and updated.
Audit and reconcile monthly range membership data and payments across multiple locations to ensure financial accuracy.
Prepare Sales Tax returns for multiple entities across multiple states.
Assist with the monthly bank reconciliation process for multiple entities.
Prepare and post monthly closing journal entries.
Work with accounting team on various projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
BS Degree in Accounting or related field required.
Thorough understanding of accounting and financial reporting practices.
Quick Books experience is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Annual Salary Range:
$52,000-54,000 per year - based on experience
