Automotive Service Writer & Parts Specialist

Responsibilities: Source and order automotive parts while balancing cost, quality, and delivery time Track parts orders and ensure technicians have what they need to keep repairs on schedule Open, update, and complete work orders using Fleetio Maintain accurate repair, parts, and fleet records Communicate repair status and delays with dispatchers and company locations Coordinate warranty claims, returns, credits, and core exchanges Work directly with vendors and technicians to resolve parts issues Assist mechanics as needed with general shop tasks Help keep the parts and shop operation organized and efficient

Qualifications: Previous automotive, fleet, parts, service-writing, or repair shop experience strongly preferred Good working knowledge of automotive parts and repair terminology Must understand the basic workflow and day-to-day operation of a repair shop Strong computer, data-entry, and organizational skills Fleetio or other shop/fleet management software experience is a plus Ability to manage multiple repairs and priorities at once Strong communication and follow-through Dependable, accountable, and team-oriented Comfortable working both at a computer and in an active shop environment
