To support innovative enterprises in architecting secure API ecosystems, the full-time Staff Solutions Engineer will act as a trusted technical advisor, conducting discovery conversations, managing customer evaluations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities:
Support field sales by helping customers understand the value of the Kong API and AI connectivity platform
Conduct discovery conversations to map customer requirements to Kong solutions and manage technical validation during evaluations
Deliver demonstrations of API & AI governance capabilities and run Technical Feasibility Workshops to validate Kong's fit for enterprise architectures
Required qualifications:
7+ years of software engineering and/or solutions engineering experience in SaaS, open source, or enterprise software
Proven track record of owning complex, enterprise-level deals with multiple stakeholders
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native platforms
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tooling and knowledge of AI/LLM architectures
Strong understanding of cloud computing trends and API security patterns
