Director of Survey

What You’ll Do: Lead and support multiple surveying teams through Team Leaders and Senior Team Leaders Balance operational leadership with strategic growth, sales, and client development Oversee financial performance, staffing, scheduling, quality control, and workshare across survey teams Provide technical leadership in surveying, ensuring adherence to QA/QC standards and best practices Drive regional and local growth initiatives within land surveying, geomatics, and related services Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on complex and high-profile surveying projects Mentor and develop senior survey staff, supporting performance, career growth, and retention Collaborate closely with operations managers, practice leaders, and HR on staffing, hiring, and resource planning

What You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree At least 10 years of progressive experience in land surveying or a related field At least 5 years of experience as a Licensed RPLS in the Survey field Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in Texas and ability to obtain other states. Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams on large, complex projects Strong understanding of survey operations, project financials, and resource management Demonstrated success in business development, client management, and regional pursuits Ability to align technical excellence with strategic and operational objectives The Halff Survey/Geospatial Solutions Advantage Highly qualified staff with land surveying and remote-sensing experience.
