Construction Superintendent

📍 Location: NYC Metro 🏗 Project Size: $15M+ 🏢 Project Type: Multifamily / Commercial / Institutional 📐 Scale: Mid- to high-rise ground-up construction This role is ideal for a hands-on field leader from a General Contractor background who has run ground-up projects cradle to grave and is comfortable owning the site from day one. The successful candidate will act as the primary field authority on-site, working closely with Project Executives, Project Managers, subcontractors, architects, and ownership to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and to spec in demanding NYC job-site conditions.

Key Responsibilities: ✔ Direct day-to-day coordination of subcontractors to ensure quality work aligned with the project schedule✔ Develop, document and communicate field work plans and changes✔ Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents to plan ahead and anticipate issues before they arise✔ Verify subcontractors obtain all necessary permits for construction activities✔ Act as primary safety representative on-site and enforce quality control policies✔ Create, manage and update the project schedule; develop contingency plans as needed✔ Communicate schedule status, updates and changes to the project team and trade contractors ✔ Plan, coordinate and manage jobsite logistics✔ Lead regular contractor meetings and resolve jurisdictional disputes✔ Establish credibility among owners, trade contractors and unions through a fair, trustworthy site environment

Requirements: ▪ Minimum 10 years' experience as a Superintendent on ground-up projects valued at $15M or more▪ General Contractor (GC) background required — developer-side experience alone will not be considered ▪ Proven experience delivering ground-up multifamily and/or commercial projects in the NYC metro market▪ BS or MS in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience▪ Strong understanding of NYC construction operations, logistics and code requirements▪ Working knowledge of Procore, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office ▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills▪ Ability to work independently and lead a multi-trade site team What's on Offer: Long-term pipeline of ground-up NYC Metro projects High level of field ownership and autonomy Stable leadership team with a strong industry reputation Collaborative, hands-on company culture Health, dental and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off and paid family leave📩 Apply directly or message me confidentially for additional information.
