Job Code: Pay Rate $21.00 - $25.00 Schedule & Work Environment
Onsite position. No travel required.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.Overtime may be available but is not required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Machine Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Machining, or a related field preferred.
  • Candidates with 2 - 5 years of experience
  • Candidates without a degree should possess relevant machining experience, apprenticeship experience, or technical training.
  • Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and adapt to established processes.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and use precision measuring instruments, including:
Micrometers:
  • CalipersPreferred QualificationsCNC programming experience.
  • Familiarity with FANUC controls.
  • Experience with Mazatrol (Mazak) programming/software. Knowledge of G-Code programming (desirable but not required).Forklift experience is a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude.
Key Responsibilities: Support CNC machining and programming activities. Read and interpret measurement data using precision metrology equipment. Set up, troubleshoot, and optimize machining processes. Follow manufacturing procedures and work instructions. Learn and apply company-specific machining techniques and programming practices. Maintain quality, safety, and productivity standards in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and move components weighing approximately 40-60 lbs. Ability to work in a manufacturing/shop environment and safely handle machine parts and tooling.
Ideal Candidate Profile: An early-career machinist, machining technology graduate, or apprentice with foundational CNC knowledge, strong mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to develop into a long-term SLB employee. The Machinist is responsible for helping provide safe, efficient and reliable product and service delivery to customers, and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery. The Machinist ensures equipment is delivered on time and according to operational demands, and maintains shop and field equipment.
