Valet Door AttendantA Valet | Door Attendant for Skytop Lodge is a first point of contact for our guests. Responsible for greeting guests, opening doors, parking and retrieving guest vehicles, and assisting other departments when needed. Greet guests upon arrival in a timely manner. Visually inspect guest vehicles for damages. Park and retrieve guest vehicles. Open hotel doors for guests. Keep assigned areas neat and tidy. Radio communication between team members when necessary (Front Desk, Operator, Shuttles, Security, Housekeeping, and Maintenance) Snow and ice removal from vehicles and area. Starting and tending to lobby fireplace. Assist with Bellman duties when needed. Report any maintenance, safety hazards or problems to proper departments. Prior Bell Person or Door Attendant experience is helpful but training is provided. Guest vehicles and keys. Must have the ability to work at tasks that require walking, lifting and carrying. Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Job requires driving. Mobility is essential for this position. Work takes place primarily outside of the hotel, although outside work may be required. Work schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Open availability preferred. Must have the ability to work in both hot and cold climate, sometimes extreme. Must have good customer relations skills, good communication skills, and be service oriented. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language. After training, have knowledge of the hotel layout and grounds, surrounding communities and departmental procedures. Must be friendly, hospitable, courteous, service oriented, trustworthy, reliable, flexible and self-motivated. Must possess a valid driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.
