Context: A global financial institution is building out its New York trade control function for equity derivatives and structured products, complementing an established team based in Paris. This is a hands-on, product-first role for someone who lives in the details of exotic equity derivative structures
Your Role:
Perform end-to-end trade validation and control for equity derivatives and structured equity payoff products, ensuring bookings in internal systems are accurate and complete Validate trade economics against term sheets, confirmations, trader recaps, and booking models Review and validate complex, non-vanilla product structures: barriers, autocallables, digitals, knock-in/knock-out features, coupon structures, and basket/index underlyings Investigate and resolve trade capture issues and discrepancies, working closely with Sales, Structuring, Operations, Risk, and ITMonitor trade lifecycle events, amendments, cancellations, novations, resets, corporate actions, fixings, and maturities Run daily reconciliation and control checks to catch missing, unmatched, or incorrectly booked trades If you have an automation or scripting background, there's room to help define specs and propose enhancements to the validation process (Python a plus, not required)
What We’re Looking For:
5-10 years of experience with deep, hands-on knowledge of equity derivatives, specifically complex/exotic option structures, not vanilla or delta-one products Prior experience in Middle Office, Trade Control, or Trade Validation functions Experience with Sophis strongly preferred Strong ability to read and interpret term sheets, confirmations, and pricing/legal documentation Product-oriented Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
