Self-Storage Customer Service Associate

CubeSmart is hiring a Store Operations Associate to support daily operations at our self‑storage property. In this customer-facing role, you’ll greet and assist customers, explain storage solutions, complete rentals, process payments, and handle inquiries by phone and in person. You’ll maintain clean, secure, and organized facilities, perform basic property inspections, and support sales goals through unit rentals and retail product sales. This role works closely with teammates and management, following company policies, using property management software, and contributing to a service-focused, high-integrity culture. Greet and assist customers in person and by phone, understanding storage needs Explain storage unit options, pricing, and promotions to drive rentals Complete rental agreements, process payments, and manage account changes Use property management software to enter customer data and track units Perform regular property walks, inspections, and basic upkeep tasks Maintain a clean, organized office and storage environment Secure the property by following opening, closing, and access procedures Sell packing supplies and related retail products to support revenue goals Resolve customer issues promptly and escalate concerns when needed Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and safety Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Property management software Cash handling and payment processing Sales and upselling Phone etiquette Basic facility inspection and maintenance Data entry and recordkeeping Conflict resolution Time management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Customer service or retail experience preferred Basic proficiency with point-of-sale or property management software preferred Valid driver’s license may be preferred for some locations
