The individual will be contributing to projects of mechanistic and translational liver disease research, specifically investigating the metabolic dysregulation underlying Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD), Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH), and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Working closely with the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will utilize advanced in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro models to uncover novel disease mechanisms and identify therapeutic targets.
Essential Functions:
Perform experiments and record data according to research protocols.
Interpret data and assist in judging validity of data.
May perform statistical and graphical analysis of data.
Assist in animal colony management and animal husbandry.
Apply research principles for less complex assignments.
Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree. Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience:
Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
