HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEWThe Assistant Brokerage Manager is responsible for the supervision and delegation of daily branch operations, applying customs brokerage expertise to deliver excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with CBP rules and regulations This is a remote position supporting the LA office operations. EXPECTATIONSDevelop and support a team of direct reports to optimize performance and growth Provide import compliance guidance for the daily operation of the customs brokerage team Monitor workflow and accurate completion of entry operations, including correspondence, claims, post entry work, and collections Conduct regular audit reviews to ensure procedures are followed, providing timely feedback Actively pursue new sales leads while maintaining current client relationships Assist in managing payables, receivables, quoting, and profit and loss statements Adjust personnel and assignments across shifts to meet deadlines Stay current on industry and company policy changes, communicating updates to the team Foster a positive rapport with CBP and PGAs regarding import entry resolutionESSENTIALS5+ years of customs brokerage experience, including supervisory/managerial experience Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) required High school diploma/GED required In depth knowledge of import regulations; HTS, COO, valuation, PGAs, FTA, etc. Strong analytical skills and attention to accuracy Customer oriented with strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle large volumes of work
