Structural Steel Project Manager Our client, an established structural steel fabrication and erection company in the greater Houston area, is hiring a Structural Steel Project Manager. You will run steel projects from award through closeout, working closely with estimating, detailing, the fabrication shop and the field.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage structural and miscellaneous steel projects from contract award through closeout
  • Own project budgets, schedules, submittals, RFIs and change orders
  • Coordinate detailing, material procurement, fabrication and delivery
  • Work with general contractors, engineers and owners to keep projects moving
  • Track job costs and production and report project performance
  • Build strong relationships with customers and project partners
Qualifications:
  • Project management experience in structural steel fabrication and/or erection
  • Strong understanding of steel drawings, connections, fabrication and erection
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules and change orders
  • Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Office and project management software experience
